Then I was partnered with the lovely Miss Kim! (Please, click on the link, she is a great illustrator!) Kim's located in South Africa, which seemed so different and far away from me. We emailed a bit and realized we had a lot in common.
I finally got her package today and was blown away by all the awesomeness!
I am so happy I got the chance to be apart of this project... I made some things for Kim but I won't post photos of them until she's received the package because I want it to be a surprise!
But here are the awesome gifts she sent me!!!!!!
So many cat things!!!!! Yay! And a some other little things as well:
THIS!!! ---> Was the most exciting thing ever and a bit of a funny story.... I had actually stumbled upon Mariet's blog around the same time as Nadia's.... Mariet posts all of her wonderful embroidery and other sewn creations, mostly cute little pins and such. They are so perfect. I told Kim I really liked Mariet's animal pins, and mentioned that I had two Siamese cats, both names starting with "P"... About a week ago I finally decided to ask Mariet about getting a custom pin but she said she wouldn't be able to until February, so I just thought I'd wait. Then today Kim's package came with this lovely pin from Mariet inside! It was such a nice surprise :-) More cat things :-)
Some prints of Kim's art! Already put them up on my wall!
Every item in the package was wrapped in these cool kitschy wrappings... I had to save them... so I put them all on one piece and hung it on my wall:
There were a few other things as well, but these are the ones I thought I would share! Again, here is Kim's blog: http://www.thepaintedblackbird.com/
She is doing a holiday giveaway for anyone that's interested!
Kim, thank you again for the lovely gifts!

Thank you for the lovely post!
